Ride to Work

With the ever-increasing congestion on the roads it is becoming more and more popular to take to two wheels for the commute to work. This can take the form of pedal cycles for the short commutes, but small motorcycles and scooters are becoming much more popular for the longer journeys. This is evidenced by the fact that there has been a significant increase in the sale of 101cc to 125cc motorcycles and scooters.

Many of you will have taken to two wheels as part of the Ride to Work Week (20 – 26 June), and
we are keen to find out how many of you took part and we would like to hear your feedback Continue Reading →

Motorbike MOT pre-checks

Just like a car MOT, a motorbike MOT ensures your motorcycle is safe and road worthy. The law requires all motorbikes over 3 years old to have a valid MOT certificate; it is as essential to bike ownership as a helmet and insurance.
Around 20% of motorbikes fail their MOT first time round, but with some simple checks and a bit of preparation you can make sure your bike gets the all-clear.

Suzuki Track Day at Silverstone

Suzuki’s all-star track day returns to Silverstone for a third consecutive year in 2015, with a host of British and World Superbike stars again joining in with the action.

1001542_010515-suzukimotorcycles-cAfter becoming a mainstay of the Suzuki event calendar in recent years, the 2015 event will take place on 12 August on Silverstone’s International circuit, operating from the famous Wing pit and paddock complex.

Bennetts Suzuki’s Christian Iddon and Josh Waters will take a break from British Superbike duty to attend, as well as Voltcom Crescent Suzuki’s Alex Lowes and Randy de Puniet. Three-time British Superbike champion John Reynolds and 500cc Grand Prix race-winner and Motovudu founder Simon Crafar will also be in attendance.

All riders will be on hand to lend their expertise and provide on-track instruction throughout the day, as well as sign autographs. There’s also the chance to experience the Bennetts Suzuki team’s pit setup and a free goody bag for all who attend.1001540_010515-suzukimotorcycles-b

Suzuki GB Marketing Manager Rob Cooper said, “Silverstone is an iconic motorsport venue and we can’t wait to host our next all-star track day there. It will be the third year in a row that we have joined forces with the team at Silverstone, and this event promises to be another fantastic day. We like getting out on track and riding bikes as much as our customers, so it’s an excellent opportunity to get some miles in and a great chance for everyone to get some instruction from the guys that do this for a living. We get asked every year when the next track day is going to be, so this year’s event should be just as popular as ever.”

Silverstone’s Donna Ibbott added, “We are delighted to be hosting the all-star Suzuki track day for the third year in a row and to work alongside the Suzuki team to make it a memorable event. It’s a fantastic opportunity to get up close and personal with the BSB, WSBK and racing legends on the day.”

1001535_010515-suzukimotorcycles-aAs well as the on track action, Suzuki’s newest clothing and merchandise range will be on display, which includes the latest Bennetts Suzuki and Voltcom Crescent Suzuki team wear. The classic bike display also returns for another year.

Riders on the day will be split into three groups, with spaces available from £149
